Right but I am worried that the bus to Winchester-Woburn wont run frequently and hardly at all on Sat Sun
we need to make sure there are frequent trips and also frequent late night service till about 1am. so people who work late like myself (at Boston garden events) can get back to Winchester. and have several routes (not just one to Winchester Center)(like one up Washington St. ) and one up Cambridge St. ) and such as well. etc etc. I hope we can work that out. with the towns of Winchester-Woburn, Arlington, Stoneham, etc.

Hi Jeff - thanks for your comment. I know there has been a lot of discussion back and forth about a parking garage. I agree with you about the bus connections. As I understand it, the idea is to create a T stop more like Davis Square where people walk & bus to the stop rather than Alewife where people drive to get there.

I would support the route 16 extension more if it included a parking garage for people in nearby communities.
No one outside in the immediate neighborhood is going to use it unless bus connections to Woburn-Winchester-Arlington-Belmont-Somerville and Medford are added.

Especially winchester should develop a local bus connection that runs all day till about 12 am - to allow for late night commuters, and people coming home from events in the city to be able to get back to the center of town.

I am worried about the lack of connecting transit options , and the amount of street traffic in the Winchester area that will increase with people driving to the station to drop off, pick up. Also there will be long lines of people idling on the side of the street, and in the immediate area, waiting to pick people up and drop off.
Creating traffic around that area.

A comprehensive bus system should be developed to allow people to use the station with minimal disruption to the neighborhood.
