You will be faced with many choices when buying a home. The first is whether you want to enlist the help of a real estate agent to assist you in your search or whether you want to “go it alone”. Since most of the homes for sale are listed with a real estate office, you could end up going through the process with the agent who is listing the property you’re interested in. The listing agent already owes a fiduciary responsibility to the seller and either will not represent you, or will represent both you and the seller (disclosed dual agency). Interview agents before you start the house hunting process and make an informed decision as you choose a buyer’s agent who will work solely for you and that YOU feel comfortable with.
E-mail me or call me at (781) 608-4692 for a personal interview. Together we’ll discuss the buying process, demystify the forms and get you well educated so that you can purchase your home with a minimum of sleepless nights.
(Disclaimer: I can not take away all of the sleepless nights, but I can cut the number down significantly by making sure you always know what to expect next and by keeping you educated so that you are in as much control of the process as possible.)
