I enjoy working with sellers and buyers. Each day is different and you never know what’s going to happen next. As with every business, there are people who are good at their jobs and some who are not as proficient. I have a file of really bad photos from MLS. Real Estate Market Inventory Update

I find that number crunching really helps me get a good handle on the real estate market. Today I decided to focus in on the single family homes market to show you what’s going on in my main market areas:

Sometimes seeing all of the numbers at once can be a bit overwhelming, so this chart breaks out the number of month of inventory of single family homes for sale in each city:

Not surprising the cities with the highest price tags, Cambridge and Winchester, have the most number of months of inventory already on the market. Looking at months of inventory help you really narrow in on what’s happening in a real estate market because it factors in demand, not just numbers of homes for sale or average days on the market.

1st Page of Google Helps Sell Houses

If you want to sell a property, it makes sense that the more people who know about the house, the better chance that you’ll sell and for a better price. I’ve been working hard on getting the properties I have for sale listed on the first page of Google search results.

Try it yourself and see. Search for Porter Sq Condo on Google and you’ll find the Somerville condo for sale at 25 Linden Ave. If you search for house for sale 02155, you’ll find the Medford fixer upper house for sale at 230 Spring St in the beginning results.

I know this is tooting my own horn – something I prefer not to do in this blog, but I’m very excited and have to share it. The more people I can tell about the properties I have for sale, the better job I can do for my clients.
