Recently 3 of my nieces turned 10, 11 and 12. They are all wonderful girls, growing into beautiful women. They also have lots of “stuff”.

With the holiday season approaching, I told them I thought they had enough “stuff” and instead of a present, they were going to have the gift of time. . . private time with me to do something they wanted to do. I’m very proud to say that all 3 agreed that it was a great idea. Each girl has chosen a different experience. . . a movie, horse drawn carriage ride and museum trip.

I’m having a wonderful time with them as we have privatetime we don’t normally experience. I’m also hoping that they’re learning that there are more important things than getting more “stuff”.
