What’s Going On In The Greater Boston Real Estate Market?

May 8th, 2006 | By DebOnTheWeb | Category: Real Estate

If you listen to a lot of the media, you might be convinced, just like chicken little, that the sky (or the real estate market) is falling. I’ve been selling real estate for over 15 years. I’ve seen Buyers’ Markets, I’ve seen Sellers’ Markets. Right now we are experiencing a “normal” market. What does that mean? It means that there is ample inventory for the amount of buyers looking, rather than the scarcity of listings we had a few years ago. So far, we don’t have a glut of properties in most markets. Properly priced properties (say that 3 times fast!) are selling in a few months. This is “normal”. When I first began my career, most properties took a year and a half to sell.

So, to sell or not to sell? Take a deep breath, look at your home objectively and make the decision of what’s best for you and your family.
