Your Own Private Fax Line

Oct 4th, 2007 | By DebOnTheWeb | Category: Technology

When I first started selling real estate in 1991, the fax machine was the latest news. Experienced agents shared with me how they used to have to run back and forth from the office, to the attorney, to the other agent’s office delivering drafts of Purchase and Sale Agreements. By 1991, that had been eliminated by the fax machine. Of course, we were using thermal paper faxes, so you had to take the curly paper, try to get it to lay flat and copy it so you could get a signable document that wouldn’t fade. The only problem was many times you ended up signing a document that had been faxed so many times, it was barely readable.

Today PDF files make sharing documents incredibly easy. Whether you use it for your personal or professional life, make receiving faxes easy with a fax number that converts all incoming faxes into PDF files that go straight into your email inbox. I use Maxemail. This inexpensive service also allows me to log in online from any computer to retrieve my faxes as well. Sending a fax through their system is easy, too and only cost $.10 per minute.
